| Le Correspondant National de la Francophonie, Gaetan Ruru, sera en déplacement du 12 au 17 mars sur les îles de Santo, Gaua et Motalava. Il effectuera des interventions pédagogiques et culturelles sur la thématique de la Francophonie. Pour cette mission, il a reçu le soutien de l’Alliance française. Georges Cumbo, Délégué général, lui a en effet remis la semaine dernière un billet d’avion Port-Vila/Motalava. Selon ce dernier, « il est important d’associer aux festivités des Journées de la Francophonie les îles de l’archipel les plus éloignées ». Par ailleurs, il est à noter que l’Alliance française, en plus de la soirée FrancoSonik du 7 mars (parrainée par TVL), organise à Port-Vila le samedi 15 un Tournoi de pétanque dit de la Francophonie ainsi qu’une tournée "Cinéma" sur Tanna du 17 au 24.  |
| Friday 7th March, from 7pm : soirée FrancoSonik at the Alliance française of Port-Vila ! FrancoSonik is a time of sharing, in a friendly and festive atmosphere. The perfect night to celebrate Francophonie ! This year, FrancoSonik gets in touch with its feminine side, as it is organized the day after International Women’s Day. At 5pm: Inauguration of the « Totem Femmes » by the artist Juliette Pita. Presentation of the flyer on breast cancer prevention by the French Ambassador to the President of the National Council of Women. Prize-giving for the photo competition « On joue au Vanuatu ». At 6pm, Vanuella, the Diva of the Pacific, will sing the greatest hits in French pop music as well as some of her own material for the captivated audience of Port-Vila. At 8pm, Gator Queen, a Melbourne duo, will surprise you with a spicy mix of creole, zydeco and rhythm’n’blues… with, of course, songs in French especially for FrancoSonik! The concerts are free as well as a meal consisting of delicious bougnats. Kava and a variety of drinks will also be sold at the event. La soirée FrancoSonik is an event organized by the Alliance française in partnership with TVL, sponsored by regional cooperation (Government of New-Caledonia and Pacific Fund) and the French Embassy in Port-Vila, with the support of Vila Distribution and Groovy Banana (photo reporters).  |
