Fuego Ritano will be touring in Port-Vila Friday 5th (Alliance française) and Saturday 6th (Au Faré).
Fuego Ritano is first and foremost a duo of gypsy musicians : Doulen (guitar and vocals) and Joémy Batista (guitar solo).
Born in Montpellier, these catalan gypsies have been musicians for generations. Joémy is the grandson of the great Manitas de Plata, a true flamenco legend !
Their music was born out of the fusion between flamenco puro and Camargue Rumba. This music, in the purest gypsy tradition, cannot be read but felt, which is why a piece can be played a thousand times in different ways.
