VERDINE explores the soul of Romany music…
VERDINE is a Romany music band created by Nivane Fouad, violin teacher in Nouméa.
Revisiting the timeless Romany songs, Verdine invites you for a journey on the Balkans roads through music, dancing and singing. A show full of shimmering colours.

A “verdine” is the name given to the gypsy caravans.
This beautiful adventure has started five years ago. Since then, Verdine has never stopped evolving and growing, sometimes performing with 14 musicians on stage.
The band performed in a few festivals in New-Caledonia, such as the Femmes Funk Festival (2010), the Gypsy Jazz Festival (2012).
